Antennas are an important part of anything that is wireless. Your smartphone has several antennas: a) one for 4G or 5G signals, b) one for Wifi signals, c) one for Bluetooth signals, and d) probably one for NFC signals. Without these antennas, your phone could not work at all. People spend years getting electrical engineering degrees to learn how to design and optimize antennas for all different kids of signals.
