Electric Motors – Amazing science behind these essential devices

We see electric motors all around us. In the kitchen there is an electric motor in the blender, the fan, the dishwasher and the microwave oven (to spin the plate and run the fan). In a car electric motors operate the fans, windshield wipers and the seats (in fancier cars). There is a tiny motor that makes your phone vibrate when it rings, and a much bigger motor in your furnace. See also electromagnets.
