Rosetta Stone

The Rosetta Stone was an amazing discovery, as it allowed modern people to finally decode and understand ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. It is a stone that contains the same decree written (in 196 BCE) in 3 different languages, one being Greek and one being hieroglyphics. Finally people could read all of the writing found on Egyptian tombs, temples and monuments.
