SSD (Solid State DRIVE)

Your smart phone (and possibly your laptop) contains a SSD, or Solid State Drive, to store all of the photos you take and all of the apps you download. An SSD is made of Flash Memory combined with a controller chip to manage the data strored on the Flash Memory.
