X-57 Maxwell NASA Electric Airplane

NASA has developed its experimental electric airplane – the X-57 Maxwell – a research project meant to demonstrate how to make far more efficient and quieter airplanes using electric motors. It uses “distributed propulsion” in the form of 14 motors. It also uses wing-tip motors to cancel out wing vortices.
